P90X is the Devil...

Hello again,

After Chris and I weighed ourselves and such on Wii Fit we found that we were either under or overweight based on our height and age...we wont say who went which way. From that we looked at a few different fitness programs and finally decided we would give P90X a try. I had a very good friend who did the program with her fiance - now husband just before they got married and knew that they liked it so much she even continued it through her pregnancy. The weeks leading up to actually ordering (it's a little pricey) and then actually getting the P90X package started out really great and exciting and the closer we got the more I found myself dreading it. Chris decided to go the Wal-Mart route rather than paying the big bucks for the P90X pull up bar and before long he and my Pyke Brother were competing to see who could do the most...I couldn't even do one :( I'm sorry Mrs. Lyman (high school fitness instructor), I have failed you. Anyway, it seemed like the more Chris got excited the more nervous I got about how hard this was really going to be.

Two days down and, well it's just as hard... maybe even harder than I thought it would be. My whole life hurts! I have to admit though, aside from the pain in my arches, the rest of my muscle aches actually feel sort of nice. It is also nice to be eating better, I think that just makes me feel better all around. I'm not too into the protein drinks though so if anyone can suggest any delicious ones we'd love to know some good brands. I will try to keep posting (probably not every day though) about this process and who knows, perhaps if I am as hot as they are saying I will be at the end of the 90 days maybe I will post my nasty day one photo... Ha ha ha, probably not though!

It's better to help people than garden gnomes.

Here I am inspired once again to blog. I now wish I hadn't deleted my prior failed attempts as I think I would like to read them again now. Anyways, the past is the past so we'll be done with it!

There are plenty of new things to write about as of late! I am now a Mrs. I met and married a wonderful guy named C. Pyke. We were married three weeks ago yesterday at a little bed and breakfast down the road from my Mom's house. The venue was wonderful in every way possible (especially because it was free!). I don't think that anything could have been more perfect then it was that day. We used an incredibly talented photographer named Monica Hines (you should look her up!) and were lucky enough to get her husband on the big day as well! As soon as they're are done with the endless editing I will be sure to add some of my favorite shots from the day!

Moving along, me and the boy have moved to Tacoma and are enjoying marital bliss! Every time we get anything showing my married name we both get these ridiculous grins and talk about how great it is. We currently are residing in an apartment which has its good and bad days, but one definite plus about these particular apartments is how spacious they are! Decorating it is a little hard as I have never had to decorate more than one room at a time in my entire life. In addition we are living off hand me down plywood furniture at least in the living room so that is occasionally hard to work with but each day it gets a little more homey and special and I am sure by the time it is time to move on I will be sad to go. One exciting note is that it's almost fall which of course means wonderful scents ( I LOVE B&B wallflowers) and a few days ago I got a new scent called pumpkin cupcake and it is so nice to come home to each day!

Well, I don't want my first entry to be too long and/or boring so I'll be off for now!
